I’m Liz. I’m a political outsider and late bloomer. I think candidates should run for office as themselves, without sacrificing their authenticity or progressive ideals.
I started Candidette Campaigns to help first-time female candidates and candidates with non-dominant identities run competitive grassroots campaigns. It takes courage to run for office. Campaigning is physically and emotionally grueling for any candidate - and for Candidettes, in particular.
Before pivoting to political work, I was a force multiplier for CEOs. I leverage my corporate operational experience when I run a campaign. My core skills include organizing, messaging, nurturing trusted partnerships, and thinking 10 steps ahead. I learned how to manage by being managed.
I root for lovers and underdogs. I like shoes, handbags, and cult perfumes. I read tarot for kicks. Door knocking > phone banking. Progressives can save the world. It’s not too late.
